ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Jessica Koppens, Counsellor
Jessica believes therapy should feel like a safe, welcoming space where you don't have to have it all together or know exactly where to begin. She believes meaningful change starts with feeling genuinely understood, accepted, and supported.
She takes a warm, conversational, and collaborative approach, focusing on building a trusting relationship where clients feel comfortable showing up exactly as they are. Jessica understands that opening up can feel vulnerable, and she strives to create an atmosphere that feels approachable, down-to-earth, and free from judgment or pressure.
Jessica supports clients navigating anxiety, relationship challenges, stress and burnout, trauma, ADHD, grief, emotional overwhelm, self-worth, life transitions, and unhealthy coping patterns. Her work is centred on helping clients understand the emotions, experiences, and patterns that may be keeping them stuck while creating meaningful, lasting change.
Drawing from attachment-based, emotion-focused, experiential, and evidence-based therapies, Jessica combines deeper emotional exploration with practical tools that clients can carry into everyday life. She believes that insight creates awareness, but lasting growth comes from pairing that understanding with intentional action.
Jessica is passionate about helping clients feel more connected to themselves, more confident in navigating life's challenges, and reminded that whatever they're carrying doesn't have to be carried alone.
Outside the therapy room, Jessica enjoys spending time with her golden retriever, practicing yoga, horseback riding, getting lost in a good romantasy novel, and making time for the people who matter most. She believes that balance, meaningful connection, and moments of joy are an important part of overall well-being, and encourages clients to discover what those moments look like in their own lives.
